Some things deserve special attention. One of
our clients brought in a frame done by another framery in the
hopes of "making it look better than it is now." The
original frame was not balanced aesthetically, or by the materials
chosen, to the significance of the pieces to the client.

The original frame that the client brought in
was much too large for the pieces, and the overall layout was
in need of a redesign. The collection of presidential election
memorabilia consisted of a number of small pieces and the original
groupings were not complimentary to each other. Upon closer insepection
as we unfit the original frame, we found that the materials and
techniques used were not of archival quality - it was fortunate
that our client came in because over time his priceless collection
would have degraded and discolored. The final piece utlized "presidential
colors" - hand-wrapped fabric matting and backing in blue,
with multiple windows with brushed-bronze filets, and a coordinated
brushed-bronze frame complimenting the border of the presidential
seal.
The client was thrilled with the change, and we look forward
to the next collection he brings in.
